“Our team has been getting better and better every time that we hit the track. We were pretty bummed to see the Malvern Bank Series event get rained out because we were eager to get back to action, so we headed to I-80 Speedway for a weekly show,” Schaller noted. “We were fast all night long and the car was perfect in the feature. This win is dedicated to my sponsors, my team, my fans and everybody who supports our program each-and-every week. I’m really excited about what the rest of this year could hold for our team.”

After seeing the team’s initial plans to enter the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Racing Series (MBSLMRS) event washed away, Schaller Racing made the short trip to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) for a Weekly Racing Series Event.

Ben started his night by racing to a runner-up finish in his heat race, which positioned him second on the starting grid in the 20-car field for the feature. He grabbed the lead at the drop of the green flag and went on to lead every lap on his way to his first win of the season.

Andrew Kosiski, Bill Leighton, Josh Leonard and Tad Pospisil completed the Top-5 finishers.

May 4, 2019 - Schaller Bags a Pair of Top 5 Finishes with Malvern Bank Series
After battling adversity during his first few weeks of the 2019 racing campaign, Ben Schaller was able to kick things into high gear over the weekend with a pair of Top-5 finishes in his Fleetmark Solutions No. 98 Hinze Chiropractic/ MB Customs/ Schaller Racing Engines & Shocks Late Model.

“This weekend was a welcome change for us. The first few weekends weren't up to what we expect out of our team,” Schaller commented. “We put our heads together to try to identify the issues, and I think we found something. It was nice to feel competitive again. We still need to find a bit more, but we are way closer than we were a couple weeks ago. I'm looking forward to getting back to action in a couple weeks to build on this momentum.”
Ben Schaller was one of 31 Malvern Bank Super Late Model Racing Series (SLMRS) entries on hand at Crawford County Speedway (Denison, Iowa) on Friday evening to do battle for the $2,000 top prize. Advancing two spots in his heat race, Schaller streaked to an 8-lap heat race victory, which positioned him third on the starting grid for the opening night feature.

Slipping one spot in the 25-lap affair, Ben posted a fourth-place finish behind Nick Deal, Tyler Bruening, and Bill Leighton with Kyle Berck rounding out the Top 5.

On Saturday night at Adams County Speedway (Corning, Iowa), Ben laid down the third-fastest time in qualifying before jumping up one spot in his heat to place fourth. Starting the $2,000-to-win A-Main in the third position, Ben raced in the Top 5 throughout the 25-lapper before notching a third-place finish behind Kyle Berck and Tyler Bruening with Corey Zeitner and Nick Deal completing the Top-5.
