Friday night found Ben Schaller in action at Rapid Speedway (Rock Rapids, Iowa) piloting his Hinze Chiropractic No. 98 Late Model for the Tri-State Late Model Series sanctioned contest. In a field of 24 cars, Schaller followed up the eighth fastest time in his qualifying group with a third place finish in his heat. Jumping up one spot in the 25-lap feature, Ben posted a seventh place outing.

On Saturday evening at I-90 Speedway (Hartford, S.D.), Ben improved two spots in his heat to register a third place finish. Receiving the pole position for the feature via the redraw, Schaller slid ahead of fellow front-row starter Nate Beyenhof on the third lap and fended off a charging Blair Nothdurft late to capture his first win of the season and a $1,000 payday. Beyenhof, Nothdurft, Jordan Heiman, and Chad Olsen trailed him to the checkers in the 25-lap affair. (Dirt Shotz photo)

June 12, 2020 - Schaller Hangs on to Top-10 Finish at Hamilton County Speedway
Ben Schaller was one of 39 Late Models registered in for action at Stuart Speedway (Stuart, Iowa) on Wednesday afternoon for the event co-sanctioned by the Malvern Bank Series and the Hoker Trucking Series. Climbing to third in his heat race, Schaller transferred into the opening night feature with the ninth-starting position. With $3,000 on the line, Ben was sentenced to the tail early after trying to avoid another competitor’s mishap. Unable to gain any momentum for the remainder of the 35-lapper, Schaller salvaged a 22nd place outing.

The following night at Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa), Ben laid down the second fastest lap overall in time trials behind Kyle Berck before coming in fourth in his heat. Earning the second-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Schaller dropped six spots in the 30-lap affair to register a eighth place finish.

On Saturday evening for the third round of the tripleheader at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.), Schaller secured his spot into the $4,000-to-win finale with an 8-lap heat race victory. Receiving the 10th-starting position, Ben improved three spots in the 30-lapper to place seventh.
